This was our most frequently asked question when we officially launched Oil is Well at Harewood House in Yorkshire at their annual Winter Market. 

 

The answer was easy; "they have been specifically blended to support your Performance Cycle!"

 

Understandably, this always led to more questions…

 

What is the Performance Cycle? 

 

It’s an assessment model used in professional environments which takes into account a whole host of elements that surround an athlete, and how they affect them. This can be physical, psychological, or environmental - they think about it all! 

 

Doing this gives them a systematic approach to optimise athletic performance by analysing the behaviour, needs, and responses of the athlete. 

 

More simply put, it's a way of squeezing out every ounce of potential in order to achieve peak performance as often as possible.

 

It’s worth noting this is a continuous process and one that athletes will refine and adjust as they improve their performance over time. 

 

This is a process that we at Oil is Well believe shouldn’t just be reserved for the professionals!

 

How would the oils help my Performance Cycle?

Performance Inhalantshelp you master your emotions during sport, exercise, and performance. Not to be applied directly to the skin, these neat essential oils have been blended to trigger one of two states: Focus or Flow. Focus to help clear your mind of all unnecessary inner chatter and Flow to relieve any sense of pressure or overwhelm you may be experiencing. The more these are used the stronger the connection between the scent and the desired emotional state.

 

Recover Body Oil - applied to the skin, this oil supports arguably one of the most important stages: rest and recovery. Use after your warm down to ease sore muscles and tension, and to encourage some reflection time. Giving the body quality rest and recovery is crucial for optimising performance and preventing injuries as it allows the body to adapt and rebuild.
